WHAT DO YOU WANT TO SEE ON THE NEXT DVD? The Craft of Piano Playing DVD was based on some of the key exercises from Alan Fraser's two books (2/3 from The Craft of Piano Playing, 1/3 from Honing the Pianistic Self-Image). He had to leave a lot out because of time constraints. Now he is planning another DVD and is deciding what to put on it. What was missing for you on the first DVD? What would YOU like most to see on the next one? |

BOOK, DVD, A STUDY GUIDE, DVD DEMO, CD's THE CRAFT OF PIANO PLAYING, published as a book by Scarecrow Press in 2003 and released on DVD in 2006 by Maple Grove Music Productions, has been hailed as the most detailed and intensive study of piano technique since Otto Ortmann. It presents a series of exercises designed to free our hands (and minds) from some of the thornier problems in classical piano technique. Have you read the book? Seen the DVD? The 9-minute online demo? What are your thoughts about it? We want to hear from you. The discussion that develops here will feed Alan Fraser's ongoing research that will eventually lead to further volumes on piano playing. And have you listened to the CD's of Alan Fraser?
