Argerich's playing of the same piece Alan posted, in 2008.
I personally find this more attractive than her earlier performance. In terms of technique, her arch, her use of hands are just as efficient as the old one, but there are notable differences as well. In her new performance, she "throws" less, at least less violently, into the key. But she seems to compensate by strengthening her hand more by keeping the structure amidst the now less violent throw. |

Very perceptive comments, Alvin. Her performance here seems more svelte and self-assured - musically even more sophisticated than the earlier one which already amazes. It's more mature. And you very astutely zeroed in on the physical component of that increased maturity - nicely done!
